Teen Central is a room on the 3rd floor of the Central Library where all equipment, seating, and activities are reserved just for teens age 13-18. We have tons of room for studying, hanging out, group meetups, and more. Want to hold an event or meetup in our space? Let us know if you need any support like TV, sound, reserved tables, supplies, or snacks!
We're open the same hours as the library, and the area is staffed at all times, so reach out at the desk if you need help.
Watch and read anime and manga with other fans, learn about Japanese culture, and enjoy Japanese snacks! Tuesdays - check event calendar for dates & times.
Workshops, classes, and mentorship from professional musicians. Select dates in-person.
Join other teens in casual activities, while creating a safe queer community space for teens at the library. Select Sundays [in-person and on Discord]
Meet with other teens, get the chance to earn service hours, help plan events and provide input on upcoming events in areas that align with your interests. Ask Kathleen at Teen Central for more info.
Want to see your art on display in Teen Central? We have lots of ways for you to share your art!
We have 6 Alienware gaming computers, 6 iMacs, and 6 PCs in Teen Central, as well as a laptop vending machine with computers you can use anywhere in the building.
Instruments are available for playing any time the library is open (we do pull the amps during other events to help share the space)
