Get Your Art or Writing Featured

The Teen Library is creating it's very first Art + Literary Magazine (ATXYZ: the Austin, Texas Youth Zine)- and we want to feature your work.

Teens age 13-18 can submit their artwork/writing/comics and more using the online form here:

Deadline for Fall 2020 Submissions is October 31, 2020.

Submissions will also require a parent/caregiver/guardian-signed  media release form (photo of a signed copy or digital signatures are fine)

Zine Maker Challenge

There are thousands of historical figures whose stories have been erased from history books. Many of these figures are Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+ people, and Women (and Womxn) from all places and spaces. 

Help us fill the gap.

Take initiative and make sure other teens get to hear those stories by creating a Zine about untold people in history for the library's new Teen Zine collection. Want to submit your zine? Email any of the folx on the "staff" tab at the top! Here are some sites for inspiration and education:
