Seeds & Sustainability: Green Gang

Who are the Green Gang and Garden Buds?

APL's Green Gang refers to Library events and collections related to seeds, gardening and sustainability. Along with the Central Texas Seed Savers, the Green Gang offers programs—such as Seed Gatherings and our APL+ video series Garden Buds—designed to grow gardening skills and friendships and show that together we can dig it. This month we recommend the Gardening for Mother Nature: Sustainable Gardening Guide, recommended by the members of the Friends of Bay Minette environmental club. Check here and on the APL Event Calendar for Green Gang updates and programs.

Upcoming Events

Seed Collection Gathering: Mid-month Mondays, 3–4:30 pm, 5/13/24

Join us for seed fellowship in the Central Library, northwest corner of the 6th floor. Help clean and process new seed donations to ensure the seed collection remains stocked and operational. Come share your ideas, experience and passion for gardening and sustainability with like-minded seed nuts. All experience levels are encouraged to attend and join our ever-growing community. Together, we can dig it!
