Zines: Tween Zines

About the Tween Zine Collection

The Central Library now has zines for Tweens ages 9-12 years old!

  • The Tween Zine collection is made of zines created by tweens themselves. It is located near the Tween Lounge in the 3rd Floor Children’s Room.
  • The collection was launched in June 2019 through a collaboration with Austin Public Library and Imagine Art Austin, a creative incubator where artists with and without disabilities gather for art-making and exhibition. It was funded through a Cultural Arts grant from the City of Austin.
  • The collection grew significantly through a series of summer 2019 workshops led by Sam Greenstein, AustinCorps VISTA Associate.
