Consumer Protection: Complaints & Scams

Consumer Protection

Consumer protection refers to the laws that protect you, a customer who buys goods and services, from unfair or deceptive business practices. If something you buy is unsafe or doesn't work as advertised, you have the right to complain. Complaints can be as simple as writing a letter or e-mail or as complex as filing a lawsuit.
