The United Way for Greater Austin has partnered with 211 Texas and Lyft to provide free one-time round-trip transportation for food service, public benefits and medical needs:

  • Food service (food pantries, grocery stores, mobile markets) or public benefits service (HHSC Benefits, MAP eligibility, Social Security) transportation is available to anyone living in Travis County, and the following cities in Williamson County: Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Round Rock and Taylor.
  • Medical transportation is available to individuals who live in the following areas: Del Valle, Manor, Pflugerville and zip codes 78719, 78724, 78725 and 78742. Note that trips to the ER are not covered, but trips home from the ER are covered.

Call 2-1-1, option 1, to schedule a ride Monday through Thursday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm. Rides are available Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm and Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.
